Anything is possible!
However the swedish board of national health requires that one is a RN in Sweden to be allowed to administer drugs to a patient. From what I've heard of the prehospital care in Germany there are ambulances around that arn't allowed to administer drugs at all so I have no idea if you're used to treating patient's without drugs or not.

In Sweden there are three categories of personell working in ambulances.

The ambulance-care giver has the shortest education. There are no minimum requirement of education to work at this level and much of the personell are old figherfighters that began driving ambulances a long time ago and since than have stuck with the job. However to get this job today the employer usually require that you are a assistant nurse with about one year of extensive education in prehospital care.

The Registered Nurse is the lowest level required to administer drugs. In Sweden this requires a degree certificate from a university course in nursing witch is three years. However there are almost none training in prehospital care witch might come in handy if you want to work in an ambulance.

As a RN you can choose to specialise in a field of work in one to one and a half year long continuing education. The recommended one for work in ambulance is the one for prehospital care nurses. There are also Nurse anesthesiest's, ICU-Nurses etc.

For you I guess the employment that would be possible is the one as a ambulance-care giver. Witch would seem like a step down if you're able to administer drugs where you work today.

Auf wiedersehen.

Heij,
tack så mycket for det svar.
In germany i am allowed to give a small number of drugs f.e. in case of resuscitation,life-threatening events or massive trauma.
But not every step back means a step down.
I will check the info at the swedish board of national health, and see if i have any chance.

Har det så bra,

Tom
